This is the story of two people who loved each other in the 1920s and shared a passion that shaped their lives: amateur cinema. Through the love story between Delmiro de Caralt and Pilar de Quadras, and their shared passion for film, the documentary portrays the early years of amateur cinema in Catalonia.
In 1920s Barcelona, Delmiro and Pilar fall deeply in love and discover in amateur cinema a way to share their lives. They film within their family circle, writing, shooting and experimenting together, turning the everyday into cinematic fiction. In 1925 they buy their first Pathé Baby camera and, self-taught, build a private film library that would in time become part of the Filmoteca de Catalunya.
Directed by Ana de Quadras, great-niece of the protagonists, the documentary draws on exclusive access to a previously unseen family archive and to the original locations where the 1920s films were shot, preserved almost intact.
