Los Caprichos (Altea), GAC Screenwriting Grant

Los Caprichos, at the time titled Altea, has been selected in the 2nd edition of the GAC Screenwriting Grants, awarded by Guionistes Associats de Catalunya (Screenwriters Association of Catalonia). The project was chosen in Category A —"from synopsis to treatment of a fiction feature film"— among a total of 54 projects selected across different categories.

The GAC Grants offer screenplay mentorship from the beginning to the end of the creative process, supporting Catalan and Spanish audiovisual projects at early stages: moving from synopsis to treatment, or from treatment to screenplay. This edition covered five categories: fiction feature film, fiction TV series, documentary, and the final-draft screenplay modalities.

The project has since also been selected by Fundación SGAE in 2025 and for Berlinale Talents 2026 under its definitive title, Los Caprichos. Currently in development, it is a co-production between La Fábrica Naranja and Aire de Cinema, with a screenplay co-written by Paloma Zapata and Irene Benlloch.
