La Fábrica Naranja is an audiovisual production company based in Barcelona, founded by director Paloma Zapata. Renowned for its innovative approach, it has established itself as one of Spain’s leading production companies in contemporary documentary cinema and audiovisual storytelling. Throughout its journey, its films have garnered recognition at prestigious international festivals.

In 2023, La Fábrica Naranja premiered its most internationally recognized work, La Singla, a Spanish-German coproduction that debuted simultaneously in cinemas in Spain and Germany. Marketed in Germany with the slogan «Searching for Sugarman goes Flamenco», this docufiction highlights the forgotten story of the deaf flamenco dancer Antonia Singla. The film received the Feroz Arrebato Award for Non-Fiction from the Spanish Association of Film Critics (AICE).

Since its founding in 2008, La Fábrica Naranja has been a trailblazer in music video production. In 2016, it made a significant leap into cinema, broadening its scope with impactful film productions such as Casamance: The Soundtrack of a Journey (2016), a musical road movie starring the musician Depedro and filmed in Senegal, and Peret: Yo Soy la Rumba (2018), a music documentary exploring the life and legacy of the legendary Catalan rumba artist Peret.
